MCDC 1st Anniversary Celebration - The Highlights

The months of June - Aug will be a period full of celebration for MCDC. The moderators of MCDC have planned and had a whole list of programs lined up in conjuction with MCDC 1st Anniversary. We at MCDC hope you will come and share this joyful event with us. After all, cake decorators are a group of people who like to share.

Miniature Wedding Cake Contest: Share your cake decorating skills with all our members and stand a chance to win one of the exciting prizes. More information can be found here.


MCDC Meet #5/ 1^st Anniversary Celebration, 4th July, 2-5pm:

1. MCDC Color Theme Day – Time to dig out your lime green and orange T-shirt from your wardrobe. An optional part to cheer up the event even more!
2. MCDC Apron – All proceeds from the selling of MCDC Aprons will go MCDC Club Fund.
3. Gift exchange – The last time you had this gift exchange game could be during the uni days? Let’s revive this delightful tradition as we are always a bunch of YOUNG people!
4. Demonstration on Jelly Cake - Have you ever wondered how 3D flowers like sunflowers, calla lilies and daisies can be made out of jelly? Come join the demostration on Jelly Cake by Renugadevi and see how this special technique can be done.
5. Miniature Wedding Cake award presentation and masterpiece showcase – An event not to be missed.
6. Garage sale – Double, Triple of the same set of cutters? One man’s rubbish can be another man’s treasure. Members will get to sell their unwanted stuff on that day. More details can be found in this thread .
7. Food, Food and Food - A cake community event will not be complete without FOOD. Come enjoy the food we have specially prepared for you and get a chance to meet and chat with all fellow decorators.

Donation of necessities and a trip to the home of the less fortunate:

When we are happily celebrating for a joyful event of ours, let us not forgetting the less fortunate out there. MCDC will be organizing a charity event where all members could take part in putting smiles on faces of the less fortunate ones. More information will be available soon.

It all sounds like fun. Will I finally get to meet a few fellow MCDC's. Have I missed something or am i being thick!!!! When is the meeting up and where???.
If you are looking for an under -privileged Home to donate to, visit etc, I work closely with one in Subang and have done for many years. If any interest I can give you more details, this is a home for abandoned/abused children.

The agenda for MCDC's 1st anniversary looks really fun. A thank you to all the moderators for planning this. Looking forward to the celebration.
