Dear evon, I ordered thru a friend who went to Canada, so it looks like its a one off occasion. The guy (LOL YOU GUYS ARR!!!) didn't have stock together. If anyone wants the Vegan Cupcakes book & Babycakes NYC cupcake book coming out in April, put together a list and I could TRY to make it happen =D

Eunice..Can help ask if Cake Bible is available? How much it would be leh? You think cheaper there?

Shimi told me she got it 15 years ago in S'pore..Here I couldn't find in MPH..Not yet try Kinokuniya..

MPH runs out of The Cake Bible; the one in Subang Parade and also the one in Megamall. I have checked with the customer service and was told that if you really need the book, you gotta place an order with MPH and the lead time is 2-3 months. Haven't checked Kinokuniya yet but you could try searching for the availability of this book on their website. Good luck!

Thanks Jo..But never trust MPH to do that job..I once wanted to order a book, gave them the details and they neverget back to me..When I asked or call them they said 'Oh, I will check and will let you know'..until today..

Eventually, I bought the book via my own university's bookshop..also got them to order for me and I got it within 3 months as told..no dilly dally..so from then on..don't like to think of MPH to get my books

Nina, did you get the Vegan cupcake book? worth buying!! I had mine since it first came out and still using their recipes for non-egg cakes.
There is no other Cake Bible by Rose LB or by anyone else. Don't have that coz too bulky!

hehehe...yeah, once saw the vegan book, i quickly grabbed it but the cake bibble, yeah...after looking thru it, i put it back, like u saidlah K.najat, too bulky.
but so far in KL, only Kino has a wide range of cake books & the latest ones too but those books are selling like hotcakes...even a staff at Kino asked me "Kak...sekarang ni buku kek cepat habis, ramai ke yang buat kek kat luar tuh?"...hehehe...yeah, lots of bakers but lots of collectors too, like me! hehehe

Nina, if you want to know about new books BEFORE they are released, just sign up with Amazon or Book-Directory and put out an alert for new books and you can pre-order too.

I would read the book reviews, pros and cons before I decide whether or not to buy plus to consider the cost of the books too. Not all books are cheap after delivery charges gone in.
Tip: only order when RM is good against the USD.

If only our public libraries are well stocked with the latest cake books like those in Singapore. Then we don't have to buy so many.
