If you have baked the cookies and have extra not yet decorated, just wrap them in cling film and foil (double protection) and put them in the freezer. Re-heat in the oven before use/decorating.
Or put them in Tuppaware containers (mine are the one-touch which work like magic!!) and they will last for months with no change in taste and still remain crispy.

I agree with you that the cookies are so yummy. I added some cinnamon powder. Even my mom, who's quite fussy, likes them too.
