Royal Tea Cupcakes
texture of cupcakes are very light and crumbly. Delicious at every bite. The Royal Tea cupcakes smells and tastes like Teh Terik(Milk Tea).

Yields 12 cupcakes
Ingredients
220g Butter(unsalted)
85g fine sugar
4 eggs
180g Cake flour
1.5 tbsp Japanese Royal Tea Paste(Jupe brand see link below for the company)
100g dried mixed fruits
Method
1. Beat soft butter with sugar till its light and creamy. About 10 mins over medium speed.
2. Add eggs one at a time to beat till well combined
3. Add Royal tea paste, whip till mixed evenly.
4. Add flour to fold in and finally fruits.
5. Pour into cupcake liners till 80% full
6. Bake in preheated oven 180C for 15 minutes or when tops are slightly browned.
7. Remove to cool before serving.
Notes
You can add your own dried fruits like apricots, peaches or even cranberries. If you add fruits that are sour, just add a little more sugar to this recipe by as much as 20g.
I have reduced the amount of sugar used here due to the Paste and dried fruits are already sweetened.
In replacement of this(cannot find in Malaysia), use any concentrated fruit pastes that can be use for baking. Incidentally, you can also use a good fruit jam or preserve for this.
Or you can use the Pastarom pastes(which are Made in Germany, halal too).
About the paste:
Its made in Japan and from this company

Re: Royal Tea Cupcakes
Hi Terri
I had to test the waters with this. I sold 10 cupcakes yesterday. Packed into twins in mini cupcake boxes. Many came back and bought extras after buying the first pack.

That only mean 1 thing!!
Too good for only 1 helping!! Must get more!! Hehehehe!!
I think I will go with fruit jams.. since you mentioned that we don't have the paste supply in Malaysia
