Hi guys,
I urgently need the recipe on Rose's Heavenly Cake which she uses on the cover. Its a chocolate glaze with gelatine. My copy of HC will only arrive another 2 weeks later. Is there anyone kind enough to share? I actually need it in white chocolate glaze, not sure if the book has it. But if not the front cover glaze is great.
Thanks guys!

Has anyone tried baking a non dairy cake and yield a good result? I have a friend who recovered from cancer and she is advised to stay away from dairy products.

As she generally missed out on all cakes for our gathering, I am thinking of baking a non dairy cake so that she can also be part of our celebration.

The gathering is tomorrow. It was a last minute decision as recently I lost a friend very suddenly and am now in reflection that we shouldn't take things for granted in life.
Some regarded it as "yogurt", agar agar or pudding..

I've tried the premixed dadih but somehow they're tasteless to me..
Did my google search for the recipe but failed to get a reliable one..

Anyone ever had the experience of making your own dadih from scratch??

Reduced sugar cake recipe aka Cake kurang manis

My aunty is asking me to bake her a cake but to reduce the sugar. My question is:

1) Can i reduce the amount of sugar up to 30-50 % less than as stated in the normal recipe? I've tried reducing about 10% less sugar but she still says it sweet.

2) Besides the sweetness, willl the texture of the cake be compromised if we reduce up to 40% of the stated amount of sugar? Could the batter be more dilute?

3) Anyone has got a good recipe which is not too sweet be it butter cake or sponge cake.

Thanks

Hey ladies, you know what, I have never baked a sugee cake before!!! I have a request from customer for sugee walnut cake. I have not heard sugee walnut (chunks) cake before actually. Anyone has a good one to recommend. If not, just a good plain sugee cake recipe will be good and I will just add in walnut chunks in. Not sure if this is workable though.

Traditional Buttercream

Hi Ladies,

I been thinking about this buttercream... Not the Wilton of "Ang Mo" type.

We can only find in traditional bake shops or coffee shops that we visit in Malaysia or Singapore. Bakers put them in bread with lots of chocolate rice or decorate on sponge cake.

The cream is smooth and touch of butter taste. Think must have added shortening too.

Anyone has come across this traditional Malaysia/Singapore buttercream? IT's just so yummy...

 3 tbsp oil
