On behalf of everyone, a big thank you to Angeline for taking the risk in hosting a bunch of noisy ladies. Apart from coffee, lunch in the form of one of the best fried meehoon that I've tasted, was also provided. Future TK hosts, hint hint

Book: Rose's Heavenly Cakes (RHC)

Recipe: Yellow Butter Cupcakes

Page: 295

Have been missing 2 sessions of TK. I miss you ladies !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's my solo TK. Feel free to share your experience if you have tried your hands on this recipe.

Made these cupcakes more than a week ago for a couple of orders without first tested it myself. I just took the chance believing that Rose's recipes couldn't go too wrong. My instinct was right. The cupcakes were light, moist, buttery and yummy. ...

hi everyone,

was supposed to post this up earlier but didn't have the time.

I recently got hold of Rose's Heavenly Cake book and tried baking the German Chocolate Cake (first recipe I tried from the book)

here's the result:

i need to work on the frosting more though cos it was a bit too runny and dripped off the cake. also i baked the cakes without using cake strip so it was a bit domed in the center.

but the taste was really very good! the chocolate cake itself was deeply chocolatey, ...

Hi,

Would like to suggest a new activity which i name as MCDC Test Kitchen. This came about when i look at my stacks of cake recipe books. It's like so many recipes, and so little time. I'm sure many of you can identify with this. We can't resist buying new books but hardly have the time nor the energy to try out the recipes. Sometimes when i try out a certain recipe, I end up with cake that I can't finish. It can be expensive as well esp when we need imported ingredients like cheese and choc. ...
