Hi,

I have been trying some moist chocolate cake recipes I got from the web but none of them is satisfactory.....they are either too crumbly or not chocolatey enough. Most of my friends enjoy chocolate cake and I thought of surprising them with one covered with ganache on our next gathering.

Could anyone be kind enough to share a rich & moist chocolate cake recipe with me. Baked or steamed type works for me.

Thanks!

My in laws loved the cake because its not as sweet as the ones we often get from cake shops. The fresh cream is sweet, the fruits are sweet, ...

Lets take a break from cake decorating. I would like to share with you a Honeycomb Cake recipe which I shared on my website some time ago here. My mum used to make this pretty frequently. The characteristic of this cake is the tunnels which you can see stretching from the bottom to about half way up the cake. If you fail to get the tunnels, you are considered unsuccessful. I found a video on youtube demonstrating how this cake is done. Enjoy and have fun.

This was a recipe I got from a baking book that uses Rum or hard liquor to soak the fruits. But I wanted this to be something that my muslim friends and students to learn and bake for their families and friends. So here's my tried and tested recipe.

This is a versatile recipe. You can bake this in a loaf pan or round cake pan or cupcake sizes. With cupcakes, you may need to shorten the time for baking to 15 mins.

My aunt visited us from USA 2 months ago. She gave my mom a giant bag of dried blueberries. But my mom don't know what to do with it so she gave it to me !

So I decided to use it to bake a chiffon cake. It was deliciously good. So good that it was 3/4 gone last night after dinner. Leaving only a couple of pieces for me.

Cake is super soft, light and has an 'airy' texture.

Here is the recipe.

Ingredients A

5 egg yolks

80g plain flour

Ingredients B

5 egg white
