Survey on Gallery - Pls try to respond

Hi all,
Wish to check with all members if you are aware of the picture Gallery? Do you know how to use it and if you realise that you can leave your comments on the picture posted?

The reason of me asking is that, the gallery actually costs to host so if most of the members here don't feel useful, I will see if I should abandon it, delete it or find other alternative for members to show their pictures, e.g. on the forum itself. Thanks in advance for your feedback

Raising my hand to say I am aware as well. I would suggest that we post photographs of cakes in the gallery as opposed to the forum so that the gallery is made full use of.

I vote for the forum. The Gallery is a nice feature to have. But I feel it defeats the purpose if we want to see the photo and want to talk about it again in the forum. Duplicates of information.

Nothing is free..to have a nice photo gallery that works and don't hang on you, you have to pay.

ya I am more in favour for the forum, at least we can discuss and share the ideas at the same time

I too support the forum - have learnt so much from all the nice people here who are so willing to share - Gallery is nice but forum is excellent.

I prefer the forum too, Jo. It didn't seems like a lot of people look at the gallery.

But we have more photos at the gallery than at the forum. Members prefer to upload their photos on to gallery I suppose.......

maybe because many do not understand the purpose behind it. They thought the gallery is just to show off what we did. While the forum is just for Q and A. Because this is what I thought it is anyway. I don't have to explain what I did for each cake I decorated. But when I post the same picture at the forum, people automatically replied and some may ask questions on how-to , etc.

At the gallery, you cannot really discuss the picture except to write a short comment.
