Re: Good baking classes
Thanks Irenes for the idea. Something for the moderators to give it a thought.

Re: Good baking classes
Am glad u guys are talking about baking classes. My friend's really interested in taking the wilton 1,2,3 courses, though she is quite good in baking. I don't know what to advice her. Can I get a feedback from those who had done that course pls.
Re: Good baking classes
Jue, I think Wilton 123 is very good for those who are totally new to cake decorating. I took the course with zero knowledge of cake deco (tats y I find it stressful during most classes
..just me being slow hehe
). You learn just enuf to BEGIN decorating as it introduces a good range of basic decorating techniques.
Of course there are alot more to decorating as I found out from the generous ladies of this forum, books & short classes like the ones done by Cake Connection.
Bear in mind no baking lessons at all in Wilton 123.
Tats why i feel tat i shud hv gone for a baking course first. No variety..my family complained..as the only cakes I can do are basic butter and chocolate cake...very boring.
So to sum it up, Wilton 123 (in my opinion) is a good introduction to cake decorating plus you can become their certified instructor if you want to in future.
Hope this helps.
