Up to you as long as there are not more than 2 designs for whatever quantity of mini cakes you are producing. I would say a quantity that would fit your camera screen. The voters should be able to see clearly the designs on the cakes too.

Question 2 : Can a person submit more than 1 set?

Re: MCDC Miniature Wedding Cake Contest 2009
3" here refers to the diameter of the cake if you are doing a round cake or a 3" square cake. Anything more is no longer miniature ...
One set has a maximum of 2 designs. Maximum 3 photos of each set can be submitted. Each set can have as many pieces as your camera can photographed them.
You can submit more than one set provided each set abides by the rules.
Please keep your masterpieces until July 4th for the prize giving and showcase.

Re: MCDC Miniature Wedding Cake Contest 2009
We have to keep the cakes till July 4th? But submit by June 24th? What if the cakes mysteriously "disappears" into the tummies of household members?

bring the tummies Shimi ....
you can do dummy cakes instead, it can be kept well in the aircond and cannot 'disappear' .. unless your cat eat it ...

Re: MCDC Miniature Wedding Cake Contest 2009
I am greatly tempted by the prizes - although I have never won anything in my life! May just give it a try.
Re: MCDC Miniature Wedding Cake Contest 2009
I don't like dummy cakes... if I'm gonna go through all the trouble to bake! decorate! celebrate! cakes, I wanna be able to eat them! Of course this is moot anyway as I'm not even sure of entering
Extremely lousy at cake decorating and buntu otak when it comes to ideas....although the lure of the 1st prize (Hah! In my most fantastical dreams) may just tempt me...
