Kitchen Capers Retail

I just want to share this information with all at MCDC. Because I also share it at my own forum. Jo was the first to know of this. This is why I kind of 'disappeared' from this forum. I have been busy contacting suppliers, contractors, on renovations for my shop to be.

Its been on my dream list for some time now. Now finally able to make it come true. :grin more:

I will be opening my First retail shop named as Kitchen Capers(of course!). Hopefully renovations and stocks will come in time.

This is an old estate. Why I chose this place is because there is no baking stores nearby too. My landlord is NTUC Fairprice Supermarkets and they own the shopping mall. NTUC occupies the whole 2nd floor.

My shop faces the hawker centre and wet market. Next to it, its the carpark and Town council. The location is crucial...! And new flats are building nearby, this will ensure a new younger population 'flooding' the area.

What the store sells?
Baking Ingredients
Bake ware
Party Kits/Ware
Gift boxes/packaging
Rentals

Baking ingredients will include the basics like flour, eggs, sugar, dairy products like cheese, thickened cream, sour cream, yogurt, pulses, beans, nuts, dried fruits, oats, etc. Fondant, Gels, colouring, lustre dusts(fondant use)

Also will be carrying gourmet ingredients from Europe(Varlhorna chocolates, Japanese fruit pastes, Vanilla pods, Pure extracts, etc), also Gold Leaf, Silver Leaf too.

Bake ware will be the baking pans, silicone ware, cake decoration tools, chocolate moulds, jelly moulds etc

Party Kits/Ware will be goody bags, novelty candles, stickers, balloons, disposal plates/cutlery, serviettes, skewers sticks(bamboo and metal) etc

Gift boxes, packaging will be fancy cake boxes, chocolate boxes, cookie bags, ribbons(by the metre or whole roll), favours bags, wrapping paper, etc

Rentals will be to rent a selected range of bake pans, cake stands, cupcake stands, chocolate fountain sets, chocolate fondue sets. However, this is only for KC Students..not KC forum members. You need to be a student with my classes to enjoy this special priviledge. more details later.

I have many plans for many things to happen when the store opens. As of now, I cannot run my classes there as the shop is small. But I will be doing weekly LIVE demo on cake decoration or chocolate moulding at the store. So it pays to be on my mailing list. here's just a few of what's in store for Ribbons!!

I have custom made some baby favours and wedding favours bags. These little bags are great for parties. especially Baby Showers gifts and wedding cake gifts. Rather than to pack those small fruit cakes into a tiny paper boxes, I think its great to pack them into these favour bags.

What you see here is the standard ones they can make. Mine will be slightly differently..made for KC only.

All the bags are hand made..not machine made. Its all glued together, no sewing done.

Ribbons..here are just a few. All ribbons will be sold in affordable prices. Either by metre or the whole roll.

All colours you see can be custom made to suit any occasion. So in future, KC Students or Priviledge card holders can see me to custom made their own

I'm there for work but will try to make time to visit the cake shops and art shops and meet up with my cake friends in SG.
I'll be there for 2 weeks from April 6th so will not be in time for your shop opening, but hope to see you anyway ...

Bring your credit card along with you. No need to rob the bank. I got some custom made ribbons made for Malay weddings!!! and I am waiting like crazy for the shipment to come!!
