Dear Jo,
well... i just 8 weeks pregnant... this is the 2nd one and somehow it's so severe... finally just decided postpone the KL trip.
too bad huh?!

How was it? How come nobody posted anything on the gathering? Is it only for the eyes of those who attended? What about us who couldn't?

I had to miss the gathering 'coz my husband changed his return date from Singapore in the last minute. I was still going to go but his bus got delayed 'coz of traffic and long queue at the checkpoint Please tell us poor things who couldn't make it 'coz we live too far away, couldn't get away, or had to miss it for whatever reasons how it went! The suspense is killing me!!!

Ya laaa.. do tell.. waiting for results for the contest also. Just gotta know who bagged the ultimate caddy!!!

most probably exhausted with so much to do, to see and to eat. I know I would.

For those of you who didn't come, we missed you so dearly. However, we cannot discount unforeseen circumstances and the other responsibilities. Mama Min, of course lah the club meet is not only for those who comes, it is for members maaa... (alaaaa cayang...) Its just that Jo and the Moderators haven't had the chance to sit and write. So, here it is my candid review of the happening on that day.

The 1st MCDC Anniversary went on smoothly and with a sort of a bang with 46 members came to grace the celebration. It started with Ambika giving a speech and then Margaret picking out the numbers for gift exchange. After that, we proceeded to the highlight of the event, which is the award ceremony for the Mini Wedding Cake Decorating Competition award ceremony. The list of winners is:

The Certificate

Winners were all given a certificate along with their prizes as announced earlier on. Let me just say that all the entries are beautiful and there's a lot of love in the creations. In my opinion they are all winners in their own right.

After the award ceremony, we were to have a jelly craft demo by Renuga. However, we are sorry that Renuga couldn't make it that afternoon due to a demise of a family member. I would like to take this opportunity to convey our condolences from MCDC on Renuga's lost.

The session was instead filled with a review of the winning creations by each contestants who were present. During this session members were given a the detail run down of what are the methods used and material involved. The floor was also opened to Q&A and this gave our members the opportunity to get immediate answers to their queries. I picked up lovely tips too during this session. After that, there was another round of gift exchange before the next item on the itinerary.

Market place was opened next and I must say, our traders were busy busy busy selling.. you can see the pictures on www.jamesquah.com I bought RM150 worth of stuff which I now might have to resell again !

Food came next and then the final thanking of all sponsors and members.
