Get - Together

Dear Jo & friends

Just thinking out aloud - notice that there are quite a few members who contribute regularly to this forum, wouldnt it be nice if we could organise a get-together and meet each other in person. I will take the responsibility to organise this if all are agreeable.

I have been thinking about this since I started this club actually. I don't know if this will be too much work or sounds difficult, I am actually thinking if we could get a shop owner or an owner of a big kitchen (anybody??) to sponsor a place so that we could also have a few demostrations (voluteery of course, baking and cake decorating) so that we could learn something from the get-together.

Let's put ideas together first and we will set a date. What say you all?

That would be great. I still meet up with some friends from Debbie Brown's class. Even just over tea or trips to Pastry Pro, etc. Still learn something by exchanging ideas.

Jo, its a good idea to get demonstrations etc going but let us first meet and get to know each other and once we are connected am sure we can come up with loads of ideas.

Would you all prefer a weekend or a weekday? If all agreeable we can meet for tea/lunch at the Lake Club poolside - leave the day/time for all of you to decide and we can come to a compromise. Let me know asap so that I can make a booking for the little room that they have so that we can have all the privacy and make all the noise that we want

Count me in. I'm not voting for weekends or weekdays as it really depends on when this is planned for. Have more time on my hands during the school holidays.

Wow! a get together sounds great! I would love to join, but too bad I'm not in KL... really wish to come . It would be great to learn something from one another. Hope you ladies have a great time.

inn - since its school holidays im ok with any weekdays pls, my weekends is FULL till 1st week of JAN cant wait to see all my sifu laaaaa. Im compilling all my question hehhehe. TQQ

Dear Friends

It looks like most of us prefer the get-together to be on a weekday, shall we plan it for next wednesday? - 19th November between 3 - 4pm? or alternatively 22nd (Saturday) 3-4pm.

Venue: Poolside, Royal Lake Club, Lake Gardens.

Let me know what you think- we can change accordingly.

Haven't been there in ages. Either day is fine with me. Depends on Jo though, can't have our first get together without the person who brought us together!

I have a class planned for 22nd hence have to keep it opened for the time being. 19th is fine for me but can it be in the morning instead, cos YRH Jeriel will be in school in the morning? What about December? Since it is within the Christmas month, the festive atmosphere will be there. We can do a gift exchange or something (back to school days huh ??)
